A year ago I saw images of "female" robots on Deviant Art and thought, how cool whould be to create such a thing in real life. I'm a prop maker and I know, how to create such a thing. Also I found interesting electronic systems: a glasses that can provide a good image and can fit inside of the mask, small cameras...

I was inspired by creations of Vermin Star on Deviant art:

And I have an idea: create a real life avatar and use the cameras to make a real life tird person quest! And make photos and videos of both what a person inside sees and what is happening outside. By the way, the avatar will have it's own voice too!

Based on his images and our kigurumies, we desided to make our ownset of robots with all the features I've mentioned.

The most interesting part is that the avatars will perform a simple everyday tasks and make an every week interviews with pedestrians, that will be broadcasted live on stickcam. Some nesessary devices are already on it's way to me. But I need to improve them and make some new ones.

But it's an expencieve thing: several suits, made of plastic and resin, all texturised and with a high-level of details! So I desided to make it thorugh croudfunding, here is the project page.

Also there are rewards for the founders too, from the ordinary images to a working suit. By the way, I already bought some electronics to apply: voice changer, test-quality videoglasses and camera for one of the suit.

In late oktober Luno went to Petrozavodsk to take part in Credendo Vides Darkwave band performance. As there was free several hours before the stage, she intercalled one of the residents and also a greate photographer, known as Akira Katran. The result is down here:

She explored new scenery. White and gold.

Aoi couldn't ignore the door-shaped hole.

Aoi kneeled down and touched a small thing near her leg.

The wind... Looking to it was exciting.

After severall seconds of watching picture changed it's shape and Aoi recognized some 3D human shapes around, which finally transformed into living people. And bicycles.

The surrounding was so colorful, that Aoi felt being 2D for a second. The feeling she never experience for a while.

She also felt that bicycles try to speak to her, but anime character can't understand bicycle's language.

There was a door-shaped hole behind one of them. The explorer's passion of our heroine couldn't let her ignore it. Even after the nomber of other experiaces.

It was a bit rainy day of october, the 9th, if I remember correctly. Aoi saw a small whight bit of light jumping to an abandoned-looking facility building. She followed it.

Another bit of light passed her.

The lights jumped to a deep tunnel.

During our visit to Finland Aoi and Kity were invited to the convention by Hotaru

Near the conplace, Tampere Talo, was an aviary with thoroughbred chickens, gooses and even a peacock! The aviary was closed.

Some time ago Aoi and her cyber friend was invited to a night trance party as a special guests. Well, we usually do not like trance, but our good friend was among organisers, and Aoi could not ignore the event. Pictures will show the rest.

In the city

After the cold "siberian" winter and hot "mexican" spring the rainy "english" summer came to the city of Saint Peter. Well, that wasn't really summer that time, only one of the days, dedicated to the 307'th birthday of the city (it was founded on the 27 of may in 1903, and on the nearest saturday the city center was turned into the wast pedestrian area).

Aoi culdn't skip the event. Even if it was raining.

Of course, there was a lot of photographers, but this one is the most significant:

The Zinger's building, constructed in a style of Modern locates the high class bookstore now.

The Kazansky cathedral was supposed to have two colonnades, as a symbol of unity of Orthodox and Catholic chirches, but the only one was ever built. There are two monuments at the ends of the colonnade, the Kutuzov monument and the Barklay de Tolli monument - the two generals, who lead Russian Empire to the victory over Napoleon in his campaign of 1812.

The time was slowly ticking to an end of the walk, and Aoi was returning home.

MAniFest - is a local festival, held in St.Petersborg in the beginning of april. This time there was three dolls, who entered the festival: Aoi, Hotaru and Mikomi.

We went there from the Mikomi's home.

I remember, that I promised to tell a story. Here it is ^^

...I was resting in a hotel after a hard busyness conversation, and, suddenly, I heard a sound of openning the door. I raised and went to the corridor.A cute girl was standing near a big mirror, which hid the wardrobe.

That was unexpectable, but I invited her to come in and take some tea. She agreed.

We began to talk. She did not say much about herself, me too, but when I called my name she suddenly got a wakizaci and surrendered.

"Why?" I replied. "I'm the one you was asked to bring to your client! How could I be so mistaken..."
I started to realizing. "There is a girl with blue hair, who disappeared from my mansion. I miss her. She should be near your place, as I was toled. Can you escort her to me, please?" I do not know, what is the relationship between her and my client, but I at least have to know the situation. But it's difficult to talk with someone with a weapon.
"Look, I do not want to escort you right now, at least, until I'll learn what happened between you and my client"
She lowered the wakizaci...

But from the next conversation I realised, that the dialog was failed. And I began to act.

Finally, driven to te bed, she talled all I need to know to make my decision.

What did I decide? I released her, but took away her weapon. Cause she deside to go to my client's by herself. But I really do not know, why.

Let me introduce a new member of my 2.5D world. Her name is Aoi, and she is Hikarinaka's doughter.

There are not a lot of data avaluable about her. She was born on the 14'th of february. That day was full of little problems, so she became a bit shy. While she is preparing to the shot, let me tell some words about the place she came to. It's the best room in small hotel we rent for a day to celebrate a private holyday of Hikarinaka and Kokorozaci. Of course, they took their youngest girls, Cat and Aoi.

After the preparation, the film photocamera was unpacked, and the fun began. The first part of it is as follows.

The next part is featuring a completeshort story, so I'll prepare a single post to it in a week.

Anifest Victory. The festival, where EmuEmu first was preented to the public. That day a year ago she was teleported to this "3D" world. I can say that it was her 3rd birthday (The first was on the BW pages of manga and the 2nd - on the screen...

This day a new person was teleported to the reality from the World of Fantsy, a Cat. Please, meet her nice =^.^=

Finally I'm able to share photos from 2-day anime and manga festival held a month before. The one reason is that I was very busy, and the other is that I need to gather all photos.

There was a lot of people having fun together. (For example, I'd like to show you work from one of my friends.) We hanged around posing with guests of the festival and interacting with cosplayers.

It's a pity no one depicted faces of sellers in a affiliate storedesk when they saw me! It was a real culture shock ^^. Lots of peole reacted more normal, but them was in fun too and took photos of us.
Vanilla even took part in stage catwalk.

We found some interesting craftwork. High-quality swords and weapons are normal at a festival like Animatsuri. But one transformed hos motorsycle in to Eva-02 looking device with a hidden place for katana!

When the first day was going to it's end, one photographer (later we discovered, that he was a jurior) asked Vanilla to pose to him and his friend (Sitting on the photo below). They also turned out to be new kigurumi fans, and asked us about some news, etc.

At a night club

Vanilla rights:

"At saturday night, week ago, my cyber friend was invited to take part in a party people entertaining. I think I whould never go to such a thikless tits-tuts style music party, but the backgroundings was interesting enough to me, so I agreed to accompany her.

The so-called "music" was "for legs only", and, when I was asked to do some dance on a small stage near DJ's, I even took some sleeping (the body used beats as a control signals, and my brain was able to shut down for a while).

From my point of view, music should have a plot, I'd call it a story (for example, "Train search" from GITS series), make you imaging, or drift to the galaxy (like J.M. Jarre cmpositions)or give you the feeling of greatemess of digital streams on the world. So we didn't spend much time at the dance floor and went to other locations to take some pictures.

The other interesting experience was interaction with people. That was a real fun! Two guys invited me to spent next day together and asked if I go with them to Marokko. A girl played with me at the dance hall for an hour and I think that she was sad that "such a sexy doll doesn't belong to her completely". In the end she said that I was greate. Ha-ha.
Well, thare was some really good emotions, and I was pity that it's a night.

On the 10'th of septrmber Vanilla had a small trip around the city.

At first she took a several minutes walking around a beautiquet hall (Warning: may be a lot of commercial backwise!)

But security (on the last photo - a man backwise) was not friendly there. So, she an her photographer went to spot-hunting.

(I down't really know who is the owner of that bike ^^, but we can not pass it through)

Interaction with some 3D people...

Then we came to a memorial. It is dedicated to the personnel of train parks of the city, who did not allow tram traffick to stop even when the city was blocked! As far as I know, this is the only happenning in history, when a blocked city was not taken by enemy.

Then Vanilla saw another memorial - a KV 85 heavy tank.

Tryed to use it as a vehicle... Turned out, that it was locked and it's controlls were uneccessible.

And, finally, she had some rest time...

It's been a while after the last report appeared. But today I'm mending and bring to you not only a gallery, but also an interesting information.

It was a semi-warm august night, which was spent in a top-secret nuclear recycle complex... He-hee, not launched yet ^^.

A trip to Zodiac Square in Moscow

kigurumi is an art of making people smile.

- Let us leave you for a moment - A thin guy asked to a small company in a semi-old room wit a big color display computer monitor. And, in a secomd, he disappeared with his girl behind a door of a little, a bit filled with clothers, back room. People, sitting in front of a monitor, not to have some time to answer, resume talking about fate of peole with unusual point of view and about oters, who use the first to make some profit. But soon they began to dive into "Kanon" anime series.

The first one to notice a change in atmosphere was the hostess. And, nevercounting her same experience a day before, her eyes filled with a childish happyness with a mix of some sadness, that she can't join and her only role today is a role of spectator. Than, feeling it, her naibhour turnd head. And, only after that, a feel of unusualness turned to a guy sitting at the side. To tell the truth, firstly he thought, that it's just a joke with "hidden" camera behind, and, only after full turning back, he realised, what is the case. There was an unusual girl backwards, and she looked sometimes to the monitor, sometimes to the spectators. And her costume wasn't wery unusual to the audience - it's very difficult to surprise an otaku with even very strange dress, but her face was. It wasn't human face, it was a face of girl,from another, but anime. After the end of first shock and realisation that the world is still three-dimentional, the company began to ask. It was quite standard questions for such situation: how do you see, breath and so on. And than, remembered what it was started for, all except the strange creature, began to dress up for a walk.
- What do you tink if I'll go like this? - the hostess felt uneasy about her red badlon and silver trowses.
- And who will look at you? - strongly argued her.

The mere anticipation of people's around culture shock was disturbing. It was a little frightenning, and fynny, from the only imagining of passers-by's faces. Usually, members of theater groups feel something like that before the performance: the euphoria of yet ungained ovations and some, sometimes strict, frightennings of possible tomatoes.

The first experience didn't made to wait it long. Yes, some people try hard to look like nothing is happening. Unlike them, drivers, covered by their metal shells, was more free feeled. A driver of Road Patrol Service even opend his mouth and forget to close it, and this cause some experimentators's smiles (what about themselves!). The other one, the owner of a big jeep with toned glasses, slowly driveed near the company until the kigurumi (anime girl) waved him.

And finally the company reached it's destination - a square (the more presise is calling it a round), with several sculptures of zodiac signs (nad it's called so - Zodiac Square). And, of course, all began with may-I-photo-with-you. It appeared out of one group of guys, who bravy kills beer that evenning time. The anime girl didn't refuse, though tha audience wasn't too annoying. To say the truth it wasn't male-only group. Girls wanted to be depicted hugging the strange creature. One of guys loudly offered to be her "producer", that mean to be on cash. He was a bad cashier: he didn't gain anything, but feel fun and joyed others. (There is another member of that group on photo)

Soon the kigurumi was free to pose for herself with a Saggitarius sculpture - a hooligan with hand catapult, who was targeting a pigeon or, may be, the window of last floor of a block of flats on the other side of a road.

The next one was Tourus. It wasn't interesting to simply pose at it, so, after walking around ferocious animal, the girl climbed on it.

And, flirtratiousely repeating after resting people their "Can I photo with you, miss?" and smiling, the accomponing girl came up to creature. And than the hostess took after her. She was wery delightful and forget to give away a bag with her jacket, which was taken for unexpected cases. But, anyway this small unperfection isn't firstly notisable even on photo.

The next sculpture in the way was one-winged Aquarius. To start with, kigurumi
swinged a bit on it, and than (play but live in game!) semi kissed it.

By the way, a girl, photing with this time, hugged the creature's breast. As a male I can't understand for what.

After hanging more bit around the Aquarius, the company went to the Virgo, peacefully placed under the canopy.

A new episode was added to standard row here: a young girl came to kigurumi, and from the beginning called her a dragonfly (I can't wonder how interesting and precise can be child's associations!).Though she frankly replied "I don't know you"? she wsa very talkatieve. And than, having braged by her "crab" hairpin ("Look, what I have, and you don't!"), she said that she is going to a shop and returned to her mother.

The next stop was Pisces, who sit at the table with bottomless iron glasses in fins.

Then there was Leo jumping through a hoop.

Here the anime girl felt impudent enough to climb to one guy's hands (and than she do it several times). But, as we found out later, it had been only a beginning.

It was took little more time to stay at Libra, though kigurumi was unable to pose only with the sculpture: there came two men from a beer company around the Aries. And than one of them, wrongly interpreted girl's look, desided that he is in favour. In brief, kigurumi had a hard time to stop all the erotics which may pop up in nearest future. I wonder what his wife said.

There was a telescope in the center of round square. A telescope sculpture.

Hanging around it the anime girl went to the Aries. Kigurumi made her spotters feel nervous, whike walking into it's center. A question appeared, what goal this action has (the questioner was really surprised, thet there is just a self entertainment). And the company instantly began to discuss, who is under the mask.

The standard answer that there is nobody inside obviously din't was ascepted by them. One of them ,supported by other's exclamation, spoiled to an examination.

Very rough, should I say. But it hit down the atmosphere, and the company refused their suspects. One even wanted to hug-hug her for 100 rubles (2.25 euros or 3 dollars), and resieved girl's "200" sign.

And than, because no one has such spare amount that moment, she was set free to go to the next sculpture, Cancer. Just kidding.

The Cancer was supplied with a carriage, which was immediately occupied by anime girl.

Soon two other admirers accomponyed her. They not only photing with her, but even took some care. In general, they made feel her a queen.

In return, to say the truth, they wanted to know the real doller's name. Cameraman thought out a name - "Galia".

At Scorpio kigurumi finally was able to feel free of admirers.

But evenning was getting deeper, ant there still was two sculptures, Capricorn and Gemini, to take pictires at.

The Capricorn was proudly sitting on it's motorsicle, and the girl carefully sat behind the creature.

So only the "standing seats" was left around to the hostess of the "base" and two returned admirers.

After Capricorn one of thenm asked to make some photos near the Taurus, which was on the way to the last sculpture. I think it was an ordinary event in a row and don't worth dwelling about: hugged, climbed to hands...

Gemini was floating above the ground to the unknown direction and focused each oter.

It may be a reason to admirers to disappear, but more likely that they got out of interest. But it happen to became a chance to ask to photo with kigurumi for otaku girls, who had whaching the action for some time. There was a mix of the only joy for the sake of which all was done (and this is the only really valuable reason), and sadness that the time is about to over and the evenning is darken and darken.

Finally, the return time was resieved. Kigurumi took the cameraman's hand to prevent stumbling and waved to the audience, and the company went home. There wasn't any significant events on the way back, and the company, having re-went through the event, sucsessfully returned to the waiting a portion of photos computer.

Last week I went to the beach of the galf to take some sun.

Though it was warm enough to swim and taking sunbath, quite a few people was there. It was calm.

After some time at the sea-side border, I went away from calm wind. Sun hide in the clouds, me - in some bush and trees =^.^=.

A friend of us invited me to go for a walk and take some photos in a park...

It was a early evenning when me and Vanilla went to the park in front of a Sport and Concert Complex. But we couldn't walk away from a sem-futuristic building at the oter corner of the park, near our "respawn Point".

There was too or three 3D humans, who accompanied us in so called "real world" and took photos of- and with us. Vanilla took some photos of them too =^-^=.

And after a half an hour, we went to the park. That day a greate event was been holding there - Sensation White - so a park was full of White People, who asked to take some photos with us.

The opposite side of park was much more crowded with "white brotherhood". Every 20 seconds we was asked to pose with one, two or more whiters. CHK - CHK - zzzCHk... Nice feeling.

One of the greatest "local" holydays is comming here - A Day Of Victory (On May, 8th all Europe celebrates a victory over fascism. In the countries was in the USSR this holiday celebrate on May, 9th - on the 8th only west part of coalition signed "alfa-version" of documents with german headquaters and the final documents with all the sides was signed next day. This day in different cities pass meetings of veterans of an «antihitler» coalition. In Tallinn veterans meet at "a monument to the no-name soldier".)

It was the second sunday of March and me with one of my friends from OtakuFest (see reecent post) went to one of numberous entertainment and tradind centers. That day it happened to be an event, photograps took photos of young females and showd some work... of course, we took part.

Than we had a little walkaround, interacting oter people... Kaylee usually signs her posts "kigurumi is the art of making people smile" and I realised it. Every adult was excited when saw me, so should I talsk about children? When we went to the street, one going forward girl took off her sunglasses and look at me with unexpressable mix of surprise and delight.

And, of course, we took some photos for ourselves.

It's sad to be alone...

How it would be nice to go with someone for a walk,

together substitute faces to the wind,

or just be funning togeter...

No, that's wrong idea! Anyway, my splin went away.

International Women's Day

Since 1975, International Women's Year, March 8 has been celebrated as International Women's Day, “to commemorate the historic struggle to improve women's lives". It is celebrated around the world at the local and national levels.
In Russia it is an Official State Holyday, so I can't stand to prepare some photos =^.^=

Otaku Festival, 22nd of february

It was the first festival, produced by "Shi-Tenno" cosplay group (the 4th con held in my city and 9th or 10th in Russia). And as every first fest there was los of miscalculations, from sudden dark beginning to standard "wrong karaoke track" mistake. But that doesn't affect swet atmosphere and fun.

Fest was opend with a cross-over stage cosplay (as every normal actors do, cosplayers here do not satisfact themself bu just posing to cameramen, but try to make a performance or even a short theatrical, somtimes good, sometimes bad).
In the hall there was lots of cosplayers posing to army of cameramen, I was the target too^^:

Some yeras ago the 23'th of february was a corporate holyday of Rad Army. But that time flew away, empire became just a contry and the holyday changed it's profile. Now it is reknown as Motherland Defender Day. Or men's day (it is considered, that every otoko is a potential defender... well, I think it is not true, but tradition is a tradition), like Faser's Day in US, if I didn't confuse.

Anyway, Vanilla've made a new photosession that day to celebrate it. (Vanilla is my opponent, but the other environment require another behavior, and we entered in to truce).

To be freaker than freaks on a freak party

Last sunday (it wasn't really full of sun) me, Hikarinaka-kun and our friend went to an anime freak party. I took my new pink XIX-style dress.

Well, some people didn't expect such a character - cybergirls and freaken anime chars was an ordinary ones here, but real anime girl in old-style dress seem to be more freaky here ^.^ But it was a pity that none invited me (the living dream of otaku) to dance with... Anyway, here are some photos we took.

There will be some new photos after I'll recieve them from other photographers or make more photoshop-activities.

It was very nice that we found some time to come to photoconer (if you don't know, photoconer is a place, which can be found at every russian anime convention, where everyone can take a small photosession with some professionals for free). On the site mentioned above you can find lots of photos.

We strongly desided to play kigurumi at anime festival (Anifest Victory 2008) despite we had only 1 week to make a suit. That's why some most difficult details wasn't complete, or was desided not to be attached. And we made a minimalistic version of cosplay.

At a festival my performance became a test of human reaction. My face was already a cosplay, and I was welcomed. Nice.
